Choices! Choices! Choices!
When you say you are on a low carb diet most people automatically think Atkins diet. But there are so MANY different types of Low carb diets. Each plan has its own version and unique take on low carb dieting.
Why did I decide to write about different low carb diet plans?
Right now, I’m following Atkins and I’m in the induction phase. Since I want to lose 100 lbs. I’ll be in Induction for quite some time. But did you know there is an actual limit to the time they recommend that you stay in induction? I’ve been going on and off Atkins for such a long time I thought I was an expert. Bu as I start to re-read the books. I’m finding things I either missed or I’ve forgotten.
So what I’ve decided to do is write some short “cheat sheets” on all the different low carb diets. Not just Atkins. So if you are like me, you can refer back to them. Or if you are just starting out on your low carb journey, you can start here and then do further research on the diet plan that best suits the way YOU like to eat!
What kind of low carb diet plan will YOU choose?
For me it’s Atkins. I love meat, cheese and eggs. They are very versatile and can make some very tasty meals. A friend of mine is doing very well on a zero carb diet! Yeah, you read that right, 0 carbs! Her slogan. Eat meat. Drink water LOL.
Then there are people on South Beach, Mediterranean, Sugar Busters, Dukan. So many different low carb diet plans out there! I’m sure one of them will fall in line with the way you want to eat.
I think all the low carb diet plans out today work. I love the fact that there are so many choices. You will meet some people who will insist their way is the only way. Just keep an open mind and do your own research!
Psssss.. It really doesn’t matter what you choose…they all work!
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you choose Atkins, or if you decide you are more of a South Beach kind of person. Studies have PROVEN that low carb dieting works! And there are so many varieties of low carb diet plans that there is sure to be one that fits your lifestyle!
